#@: Proviable KP 30 ml paste with Provialbe DC 10 capsules For Medium and Large Dogs

I purchased this product for a pet whose had chronic diarrhea that had improved to the point of being soft stool. When she had a flare up (she has Inflammatory Bowel Disorder), I tried this and with one dose, her stools firmed up. On the same day I started using the Proviable DC capsules as directed and she's maintained the firm stool and it's been about 10 days now. The product did its job quite well but there is a problem with buying this from vendors who are not licensed vets. I ordered it from Entirely Pets in mid-March and the 30 ml tube and all of the pills expire at end of May same year. That's a ridiculously short shelf life. I called Entirely Pets and I was told "all they sent us has an expiration date of this May". I demanded a refund as this product is intended for acute cases and so it's likely that you're not going to use all of the tube very quickly. I got the refund and I also decided to call the manufacturer. They said they do not sell this product to anyone other than licensed vets. They are aware others are getting a hold of it and selling it inappropriately but they can't stop all the cases of this happening. What the manufacturer typically sells has a two year shelf life, not two months. So, someone who is getting this product is turning around and selling old stock that's about to expire to other vendors, such as internet vendors. If you buy it from an internet vendor, be aware of this risk. If you buy it from a veterinarian, you will probably pay more, but at least you've got a product that is not going to be useless in two months. I will not buy this on the internet anymore as I don't believe in doing vendors that obtain and sell products inappropriately. It says right on the box and on the tube that it is to be sold by licensed vets only.
